Happy first birthday Logan!! I cannot believe my nephew is already one! The first year seems to have flown right by! I was so excited when I found out my sister would be visiting Florida right around his first birthday! We of course had to do a cake smash session for him!
Leading up to the cake smash, we were all worried how it might go. The first time Logan had cake it did not go over so well. I reassued my sister and her husband, no matter how he reacted, it would still be worth it! With babies and cake smashes you never know how they're going to go! Sometimes the babies love it and devour the cake, other times they're terrified to touch the cake!
We arrived at Longboat Key beach, at the best time of the day. We arrived late afternoon, and the beach was mostly empty! The cake smash ended up going so well. At first Logan didn't seem so sure what to do with the cake. Then his mom showed him he could touch the frosting on the cake, he was was more into it after that! Next thing we knew Logan was covered in frosting! He dug right into the cake and smashed it to pieces.
We were all having a blast cheering Logan on as he excitedly tore into the cake. Little did we know there was a TON of seagulls watching near by. It all happened so fast, we didn't even see them coming! Mom quickly grabbed the baby and we all ran for it! By the time we got away and turned around, the seagulls had devoured the cake! Looking at it now, it was hilarious watching us run away from the seagulls!
