Good evening friends! You read that title correctly! I spent the last few days in San Diego, California! Oh my goodness, was that a fun adventure!! Andrew and I left for San Diego late Thursday night and arrived at 1am, which was technically 4 am on our time! The reason we went was to photograph a destination wedding!!
Friday, was the day of Melissa & Shane's wedding! We all stayed in the same hotel, so it was so convenient to be able to capture all the details! I spent the morning with Melissa and her mom getting ready, and getting pictures of all the fun details! Oh, everything was so perfect and beautiful! Then we headed off to the ceremony. They got married in the San Diego court house, and it was so much fun! After that, we walked through downtown to grab lunch at the fish market with all the guests! It was the perfect wedding!
Saturday, Andrew and I spent most of the morning and afternoon and Balboa Park. Oh my goodness, I've never seen such a beautiful place! First we started by exploring a mini desert, which was SO fun! There were all kind of cactus around! Then we moved onto the rose garden. There was so many roses in all different colors, it was beautiful! Then we moved onto the market area, which had all these vendors and these amazing Spanish style buildings! We walked around for hours just soaking in all the beauty that was there! We finished with getting a caricature done, which came out hilarious! After that, it was time to head back to the hotel and relax. We walked along the board walk and enjoyed ice cream as the sun set, it was a perfect day!
Sunday, it was time to head back to Florida. We spent the morning sipping coffee and watching the waves and surfers from our balcony. Then we packed up our things and headed on our way. We spent a bit of time exploring the airport, as we got there earlier than expected. Then finally, it was home sweet home! But not without stopping to get tacos first!!
Overall, it was such an amazing weekend! I can't thank Melissa & Shane enough for asking me to be their photographer and getting to experience California! Be sure to check back as I post a whole recap of their wedding, and California!! :)
