Liz + John's Wedding was held at Shephard's Beach Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida. When Liz + John booked me and told me where their wedding was being held, I was ecstatic! I had been wanting to photograph a wedding on the West Coast beaches! The water on the West Coast is stunning! Also, with their taste, I knew it would be a beautiful wedding!!
They got married right on the beach outside Shepherd's Beach Resort, and it was absolutely beautiful! We were a little worried leading up to the day, when we saw rain on the forecast. And as you hear from everyone, they always say it never rains in Clearwater. So we were of course, praying for no rain for their wedding day! The day started off great, it was beautiful, the sky was blue and the sun was shining. We knew it was going to be a good day.
When I arrived I greeted the girls who were all getting ready, relaxing, and just having a great time. I got started right away on all the details. I was in photographer heaven, when I saw all the details Liz had for her wedding day! There were so many beautiful details that I was able to capture! Details are one of my favorite parts of the day, and the best way to start the day! In between all that I captured the girls getting ready, and opening gifts, it was so much fun! We also captured the sweetest first look with Liz and her father. Seriously, we all had tears in our eyes.
Then it was finally time for the ceremony! The best and most anticipated part of the day was here, and we were all so excited! I was so happy that they were still able to get married outside! It was a little overcast at this point, but it was honestly great for me! I was able to capture the whole ceremony with no sun glares, or squinting eyes, so that is a win! They had opted out of a first look, and John's expression when he saw his bride coming down the isle for the first time, was the absolute sweetest! It was such a beautiful, loving, and happy ceremony. I especially loved when they did the sand ceremony.
Following right after the ceremony we captured all the family photos, bridal party photos and newlywed photos! After the bridal party photos we let all the guys go, so we could capture some pictures of just the girls. Little did we realize our mistake in letting John go too! We were capturing pictures of the girls, while the coordinator was hunting down John. Right behind us was a black cloud rolling in, and we knew we had limited time to capture newlywed photos. Thankfully John came back outside and we were able to capture all the pictures! By the time we got inside, the sky had opened up into the craziest storm! So much for it never raining in Clearwater, ha!
The night ended with a ton of dancing, a cake cutting, and the best bouquet and garter toss! Overall it was such a great wedding, and everyone had a such a good time! I am so thankful I was able to capture this beautiful wedding, and create these memories for Liz and John to hold onto forever. Thank you both so much for choosing me to be your photographer, I loved every minute of it! I wish you both nothing but the best!
